A new chapter in MX history

The Teka SUZUKI Europe World MX2 Team wrote a new chapter in motocross history in Mehrnbach, Austria. Ken Roczen celebrated his first victory in the ADAC MX Masters and became the youngest winner ever in this series in front of 10,000 fans. Daniel Siegl made the successful weekend complete with a fine fifth place overall.

We had to wait four rounds but it was only a matter of time and Tommy Searle made it onto the podium of an AMA 250cc National at Mt Morris on Saturday. The Muscle Milk KTM rider converted two great starts into a 4-3 finish for third on the day behind double race winner Christophe Pourcel and Ryan Dungey who went 3-2. Reigning world MX2 champ Tyla Rattray ended the day fourth overall with a 5-4 card.

When was the last time a CCM holeshot and then lead a motocross GP? Well, up until race two of yesterday’s French MX1 Grand Prix the answer was either ‘dunno’ or ‘never’ but Tom Church has changed all that. Coming from the extreme left of the gate, TC kept the CCM pinned to go around the outside of the whole field. Good holeshot skills Tom.

Yee? Ha! Cowboys cheer for Aussie Maddison. A sell-out crowd of 21,000 fans in Stampede Park in Calgary (Alberta, Canada) celebrated the victory of Australia's Robbie Maddison on Saturday night at the second stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2009. The cowboy city was abuzzing. American Nate Adams pulled off a 360 in the quarter-final.
